This is the primitive volume in a three-volume show of Martin Shubik's vision of "rigid institutional economics"—a term he coined in 1959 to specify the peculiarities of the theoretical underpinnings needed for the conformation of an economic dynamics. The goal is to make known a process-oriented theory of cash and financial institutions that reconciles micro- and macroeconomics, using at the same time that a prime tool the theory of games in strategic and wide form. The approach involves a examine for minimal financial institutions that crop out as a logical, technological, and institutional needfulness, as part of the "rules of the gallant."
